Driving Question:

What makes a relationship between two variables qualify as proportional?

Project Overview:

Each table group of three or four students comes up with their own unique example of a proportional relationship to represent in four ways (Table, Graph, Equation, Verbal Description).  All of this is presented in the form of a poster, with the unit rate written in the direct center, and the other four components in the corners.  Students are encouraged to be creative, silly, artistic, and colorful, as long as they are presenting the math concepts effectively and following the specific project guidelines.

Some examples from the past include . . .

Number of cockroaches per Davis household
